Goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi is expected to be one of the first players to arrive the Super Eagle camp in Uyo, ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Cameroon next Friday.

He is expected to arrive the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport this morning.

The goalkeeper suffered a training ground injury days leading up to Chippa United’s Premier Soccer League clash against AmaZulu on August 22, and will be observed by national team medics at the start of training on Monday or Tuesday.

Akpeyi has started three of the last four matches contested by the Super Eagles.
