Join me to praise the Lord, I have seen his goodness…. This is a popular Christian song, which we ought to sing all the time.  Yes, there are challenges but brethren  that  we are alive, is enough reason we must praise the Lord at all times.

Just take a look around you, or reflect on the stories that you read or hear in the media daily and  you will know that you have a good reason to praise the Lord.

As human beings, whether we  admit it or not, there are times that we are weighed down by challenges. As a parent, you have struggled to raise up children denying yourself the pleasures of life but that child after years of graduation is yet to get a job.   You are as disturbed as the child, even more disturbed because it appears that your labour has come to naught.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you will reap the fruits of  your labour. That child whose future seems hopeless will soon be a greater source of your joy.

For another parent, her daughter has reached a marriageable age but no suitor is coming, yet you are convinced that she is well mannered, has a good job and serves the Lord. This must give you concern but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

In the case of a couple reading this article,  your marriage is about clocking 10 years and you are yet to have children. Your friends that got married about the same time, have stopped having children and you are worried.

Whatever we may be going through, worry is never the solution to any problem. If anything, it compounds  problems. The solution lies in our relationship with the Lord.

As a Christian, you have been praying but have you  cried unto the Lord that you are tired of the situation and desire  his intervention?  If you have, then move on to praise him at all times.

David the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 34 vs. 1 “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth”. Note – At all times.   We are not supposed to shut our mouths of praise because there is a challenge.  Brethren, there is no human being without a challenge.   There is just something that you wish could be better.

Verse 4 of Psalm 34 states “ I sought the Lord and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears”. What is it that is giving you sleepless nights?  Are you worried about your health?  Why not in praise and prayer take it to the Lord?

The Psalmist encourages us with the words of Psalm 34 verses 18 and 19 “ The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth  such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all”.

Before this year ends, whatever  is causing you to shed tears, the Lord will turn to joy in the name of Jesus.

Brethren,  remember, when your praise goes up, the blessings of  God come down.   You cannot praise God and get nothing.  Human beings may mock you wondering why you  continuously praise the Lord given the challenge you are going through but  the Holy Bible reminds us  in the later part of  Ist Samuel 16 vs. 7 “ for man looketh on the outward appearance , but the LORD looketh  on the heart”.

When we praise God, it is  usually in anticipation of what he will do for us. Whereas, thanksgiving is  for what God had done.

Acts of the Apostles 16 verses 25 and 26 gives us an example of what we are discussing here.  Paul and Silas  had a challenge, they had become prisoners  but they desired to be free men.  In other words, they wanted to be released from bondage. “And at midnight, Paul and Silas prayed, and sang  praises unto God  and the prisoners heard them.   And suddenly there was a great  earthquake, so that the foundations of the prisons were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bands were loosed”.

Note “ the prisoners heard them”. In other words, their mockers heard them praising God. They continued mocking while Paul and Silas continued praising God.

In the name of Jesus, this season, the Lord will set you free from everything that has held you  hostage and your mockers will have no option but to rejoice with you.

Praise moves us from the natural to the supernatural. It makes God to move swiftly  and suddenly.  When we praise God, we are simply fast-tracking our  miracle. Praise worship is an acknowledgement of the awesome powers of God.  Our unlimited God. God appreciates praises

Testimony-   This testimony was given by Pastor Wale  T.  of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.  He said for 15 years, he was married without children .

In August 2016, his wife conceived  but suddenly she started bleeding  until she collapsed and  she was rushed to the  hospital. On getting there, she was told that her life could only be saved  with the evacuation of the baby.   Her scan result showed that there was an incomplete abortion and there was an urgent need to flush out whatever remained inside her. The couple agreed.

A few weeks after that, according to her husband, she had a dream in which she saw the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God lay his hand  on her stomach.  In the dream, she drew the G.O’s hand to the position of her womb.  A few weeks after, the woman told her husband that she could feel some movement within her.  Meanwhile, the doctors had told the couple that they would have to wait for four to five months before she could be pregnant again.

The husband said in April 2017 she delivered a baby boy. After the naming  ceremony of this baby, the woman told her husband  still felt a  movement in her womb. Back to the hospital she went and 15 days after the birth of the first boy, she gave birth to a second boy.

The couple had believed God for a set of twins.

Pastor Wale said, “We waited for 15 years and within 15 days,  God gave us two babies”.   Of course, the congregation at the Holy Ghost night where this testimony was given erupted with  shouts of praises to the Almighty God.  Our God who is unlimited.

Note the salient points.  First, God did a miracle but the devil tried to snatch it.  Second,  the womb that medical science concluded had been emptied still had lives in it.  Three, the dream in which she saw the G.O. .   Such a dream has no meaning  to the scientist but what she  experienced was the intervention of God.   The one who says yes and no one can say no.

Also, our doctors delivered a baby but didn’t see the other child.  God hid the baby and when it was time to  release the baby into the world, he was born.

Even as Christians, I know some people will doubt this but it is real. Anyone looking unto God for a miracle must cast out the spirit of doubt.

Doubt delays miracles.  Rather, what we should do is to use  a testimony as a point of contact to remind God of whatever we are believing him for and we also will have testimonies.

Let me pass this information before I end this article.    A 12-week  “ Season of Miracles” is going on at Laughter Foundation International Ministry (aka. Jesus Baby Factory) .  It runs from July 16 to October 1, 2017. It’s a weekly programme held every Sunday.

In the name of Jesus, you will end this year with an amazing testimony .

Have a blessed week.
