BENIN—Founder/President Heirs Foundation and Chairman, UBA Plc, Mr. Tony Elumelu; CEO of Ray Royal Construction Company, Rt. Rev. Matthew Okpebholo; Chief Ezekiel Anaibe and Dr. Robson Momoh will, this weekend, be conferred with honorary degrees by Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, during its 21st convocation.

The institution’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Ignatius Onimawo, told newsmen yesterday that the Visitor to the institution, Governor Godwin Obaseki, will be installed during the ceremony.

No fewer than 2,265 graduands of the university will be awarded first degree; 40 with postgraduate diploma; 76, master’s degrees; 14, doctorate, while 37 will be awarded with MBBS in Medicine, he also disclosed.

He added that the university, in its bid to check anti-social vices which arise from frustrations, non-recognition and idleness, has introduced regularity of inaugural lectures, distinguished lectures, faculty lectures, local and international conferences, inter-faculty competitions and the Vice Chancellor’s Football competition among faculties, to engage the students.
