Opportunities for skill acquisition would soon be open to graduates in Edo as the State government promised, on Wednesday, to launch platforms on technical education for graduates to become independent employers of labour.

The Director-General, National Youth Service Corp, NYSC, Brig-Gen. Suleiman Kazaure has boosted that the scheme with it Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development, SAED Programme is turning corp members to employers of labour in the country.

THE House of Representatives, experts in the Agriculture sector and the academia Wednesday expressed concerns over the prolonged neglect and underfunding of research, training and extension services in the Nigeria’s Agricultural sector.

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on Wednesday, paid a surprise visit to Egor Local Government Council by 8:20AM, where he vowed to punish senior officials for late coming and dereliction of duty, adding that the late officials, who did not have cogent explanations, would be suspended, while snap checks would be conducted every day by 8:00am and 4:00pm.

The Government of Edo State has revealed that it would collaborate with the management of Okomu Natural Park to ensure the preservation and protection of the rain forest park and its wildlife, while also assuring the management of the establishment that the state would monitor logging activities and encroachment into the park.
