PORT HARCOURT —The trio of Senator Magnus Abe, representing Rivers South-East senatorial district, Mr  Chidi Wihioka and Azubuike Wanjoku  have been lauded for their victory at the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja.

Director-General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency,  NIMASA,  Dr Dakuku Peterside,  congratulated the chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC,  in Rivers State.

He said the tribunal had, by the judgement, reaffirmed the victory of the APC in the elections in Rivers State, adding that the judgements had also deepened confidence in the judiciary.

According to him, “The people of Rivers South East will continue to stand by the votes they gave to Senator Abe to represent them at the National Assembly.

“I have always said that the APC will win any free and fair election in Rivers State. Our people are today seeing a directionless PDP-led Rivers State Government foisted on us.”

Dakuku in his statement expressed hope that Maureen Tamuno and Sampson Egop, who lost  at the Election Petition Tribunal, will secure favourable judgement at the appeal level.
