Sokoto State government, in collaboration with development partners, has committed N1.2 billion for the execution of projects under the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, in six local government areas of Sokoto State, Governor Aminu Tambuwal has revealed.

Governor Tambuwal, who stated this, yesterday, at the flag-off of distribution of materials, drugs and motorcycle under SDG/CGS 2015 local government track project at Kware council, added that N200 million would be expended in each of the six benefiting local government areas of Kware, Wurno, Kebbe, Rabah, Isa and Shagari.

The governor explained that the programme was being financed by the three tiers of government with 50 percent funding from the Federal Government, with 30 and 20 percents from the state and local governments, respectively.
