ASABA—DELTA State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, has assured that the secretariat of the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, would soon be ready for commissioning.

Ukah, who gave the assurance when he paid an unscheduled visit to the project site, expressed delight with the pace of work at the site.

He, however, directed that some roofing sheets of the building be changed to avoid leakages, commending the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, for releasing funds for the continuation of the project.

He assured journalists of the continued cooperation of the state government in providing a conducive atmosphere for them to perform their official duties.
