Governor Ambode of Lagos

Lagos—The monarch-elect of Ikoga Zebbe Kingdom, Badagry, Lagos State, Babatunde Bokor, has urged the state governor, Mr Akinwunmi Amode, to investigate his alleged unfair prevention from ascending the throne of Aholu of Ikoga Zebbe, by a chieftaincy official of Badagry Local Government Area of the state.
Bokor, in a petition by his lawyer, S. O. Ajetunmobi, stated that he was selected as the rightful heir to the throne, following a resolution of the entire members of Sano ruling house.
He said that a letter to that effect was then forwarded to the Badagry Chieftaincy Committee, which agreed to send his name to the state Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alausa, Ikeja.
He alleged that the Badagry chieftaincy official refused to forward his name as agreed despite several attempts by the ruling house to ensure he did so.
He claimed that afterwards, the said official removed his (Bokor)’s name and replaced it with that of one Jimoh Fabiyi, who was neither nominated nor selected by the Sano ruling house.
