Arsenal fans to protest against Wenger

ARSENAL fans have cobbled together nearly £3,000  to fly a ‘Wenger out’ banner over the Hawthorns as they face West Brom.

The Gunners faithful are increasingly annoyed with the Frenchman’s reign after being knocked out of the Champions League at the last 16 and being 16 points behind league leaders Chelsea.

And disgruntled supporters will have their voices heard in Birmingham when they fly a banner over the ground in a bid to stop Wenger signing a two-year deal.

Supporters staged protests before the games against Bayern Munich and Lincoln City.

Some fans even marched from Highbury to the directors’ entrance at the Emirates making ‘Wenger Out’ chants before the win over Lincoln.

The banner is believed to say: “No new contract” and “Wenger out.”

Fans were hoping to raise £4,000 though and the fund is currently at about £2,800 on  their JustGiving page.

Some fans are behind the move while others are not so much, as the reaction on Twitter shows.
