Mama Frances Ekpo, a pedestrian, miraculously escaped death after being hit by a car on top speed while crossing the Dutse-Bwari expressway on Thursday in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Journalists report that the accident occurred a few meters away from the pedestrian bridge in the area.

The driver of car, who declined to speak with newsmen, however, told bystanders that he did not notice the woman crossing the expressway until it was too late.

Ekpo, who was taken to the nearest hospital by the driver, survived the accident with only some cuts and bruises. She thanked God for saving her life.
