YENAGOA—THE decision of a secondary school teacher in Bayelsa State, Mr. Vincent Durugbo, to expose the extortion of N500 alleged illegal education levy by a school principal in the state despite a ban on such levies by the state government may cost him his job, as there is an alleged plot by the Bayelsa State Post Primary Schools Board to sanction the teacher for his daring act.
It was gathered that Durugbo, who hails from a neighbouring state, is already being victimized with a transfer from Sampou Grammar School in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state to a school in a remote community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, for daring to expose the activities of the authorities of Sampou Grammar School.
