Valentine lovers
By Nwafor Sunday
The long awaited day is here. At 6: am I went to my usual morning mass. Coming back home I met people ruining round the street with hands round over their second’s waist, what a day. A foreseen day for lovers. I see people set to go and enjoy themselves in a serene place awashed with an aquatic splendor, where the polyphonic sound of music put glues them tight sensationally.
The colour is red, depicting love, but why red? What about pink? Does it not show love too? I was surprised though shouldn’t be seeing people trooping into a restaurant at this dreaded recession period (looters are much). Some buy Champaign’s with loaded varieties of dishes (egwusi, draw-soup, ukwa, rice, ewa, efang soup, tuwo-shinkapa, roasted fish etc).
Valentine lovers
Others pretending to be loaded with money perhaps end up buying plantain chips, pop-corn and bread. For both, today is a remarkable day, a valuable day to express love materially. A squanderers day for the haves and a prayer moments for the have not’s.
I was kicked to my surprise when I saw lovers eating, leaving their sumptuous-lofty –garnished fishes to be consumed later. I asked but nobody answered. I was graced to the mud by their unwanted-ill look that catapulted me to an unbelievable place (hotel).
Now I ask again, why people leave fishes or meat to be consumed later. Please I need an answer to this pose. As a son of God believe me, my conscience is pure and clean for I come as a journalist, nothing more attached to that. You have a right to think either.
See! Ladies are nothing but a piece of debris. Seeing them rushing to the hotel hugging their sugar daddies with kisses, kicked to anger my spiritual being. I was mused to pray inside of me. For sugar daddies what are they thinking doing what they are doing? Is there any other enjoyment they derive from that, that is more than what they derive at home? If it were their children or relations how would they feel? Men are devils in human form.
I solicit for prayers to be said to energies you spiritually before embarking on bodily valentine. Am not saying that valentine should not be celebrated with love. I am of the opinion that it should be done with caution in conjunction with agape. You will be perturbed to hear this that we were not more than 30 at morning mass but were more than 100 in the restaurant and hotels I attend. What a pity that God chooses you but you chose the devil. Be warned and let my experience today be amended.
