The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) has admonished its new Fellows to take their position as a responsibility of devotion and honesty to the society.
Speaking at the 23rd John Wood Ekpenyong Memorial Lecture and Fellows induction in Lagos, Joshua Patunola-Ajayi, President of the institution asked the inductees to carry themselves as ambassadors of the NIESV with a difference.
In the same vein, Gersh Henshaw, past Chairman of the institution, in his remarks, stressed the need for Fellows and firms to operate with adequate knowledge incorporated with the ideas of corporate governance.
Responding, Mr. Utchay Okorji, a Fellow and the Principal of Utchay Okorji Associates, added “ It is pleasing to be conferred with the highest grade of membership of the institution. It an indication that a lot have been done, both as an individual and as a firm collectively.
“With the elevation, We are poised to establish a firm that will be competitive on the global stage by breaking new grounds in professionalism, service delivery and positioning the practice to be enviable. In over 10 years of existence as a firm, we have taken giant strides towards lofty objectives, the responses we got affirm that our efforts are encouraging and pushes us to aspire to greater heights.”
