Police in Niger State have confirmed the death of an unidentified man, whose body was found hanging from a tree in Gusase village of Bosso Local government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Niger, DSP Bala Elkana, who confirmed the incident in Minna yesterday, said that the deceased had no form of identification on him.

He said the deceased must have committed suicide, adding that the reason behind his death was unknown.

The PPRO assured that investigation would be carried out.

Earlier, Col. Mohammed Maikudi (rtd.) revealed that a farmer saw the lifeless body of the man hanging from a tree and alerted security personnel.
