A 26 year-old man, Abdullahi Adebolaji, has been arrested by the Security Affairs Department of Niger Government House for allegedly digging graveyard in Gusase village of Bosso Local government areas of the state.
Rtd Col. Mohammed Maikundi, Director-General on Security to Gov. Abubakar Bello, told newsmen in Minna, that the suspect was arrested in the early hours of Friday.
He said that the suspect was caught inside the premises of the cemetery with a roasted chicken and a nylon bag.
Maikundi said the man, who was seen with blood all over his body and his two ears cut off, claimed to be a hunter pursuing rats in the graveyard.
The Director-General said that the suspect had been handed over to the police in Beji for further investigation.
When contacted, DSP Bala Elkana, Police Public Relation Officer in Niger, said that the Divisional Police Station in Beji was yet to inform the command about the case.
