UGHELLI—A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Chief Solomon Edojah, has denounced members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who defected to the APC last week in Kokori, Delta State, describing them as surrogates of the PDP.

Speaking, yesterday in Ughelli, when he played host to ward chairmen from Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state, Edojah, a former member representing Ethiope constituency in the National Assembly, charged all those defecting to the APC to do so through the “appropriate channels” rather than being fooled.
He said: “There is no APC faction in Ethiope East council. We have only one chairman of the party in the area and he is Chief Godwin Igben.
“Those who defected to APC at Kokori last week should subject their entrants into the party through Chief Igben who is currently acting as chairman of the party in the area.”
“They are welcome to the APC if they choose to defect to the party, but they should know that for now, they are surrogates of the PDP.”
