Desmond Elliot applauds Ambode over tourism infrastructure at Akodo resort

A MEMBER of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Surulere Constituency I, Desmond Elliot, has applauded the state governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode over on going construction work at the Eko Tourist Resort, Akodo, in Ibeju Lekki area of the state.

The lawmaker gave the commendation when the committee on tourism, arts and culture went on oversight of on-going projects under the supervision of the Ministry. Elliot, who is the chairman of the committee, expressed satisfaction at the pace of work and commended the contractor and management of the resort.

The actor-turned lawmaker maintained that one of the core objectives of the Ambode administration was tourism infrastructures as a drive to attract investors, create employment in the creative industry and boost revenue drive of the state. He added that the state House of Assembly would continue to support the executive arm in making sure that the dividends of democracy are achieved through developmental project.
