OLEH—HOST Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas, HOSTCOM, Isoko ethnic nationality chapter, has decried the alleged exclusion of youths of Isoko nation from the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

The HOSTCOM chapter, in a letter to the Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brigadier- General Paul Boro (retd) said: “It will be gross misplacement for Isoko ethnic nationality not to be included in the programme just like every other ethnic nationality in the Niger Delta region”.

The letter, signed by the chapter’s Chairman, Mr. Odiri Akpode, Secretary, Prince Joshua Otekpo and Mr. David Ogwegbe of ‘Justice Camp’, noted that “In 2011, we did not hesitate to key into the programme of the Federal Government by surrendering our guns.

“Since that time till now, series of letters have been written to different authorities of government on why Isoko ethnic nationality is not included in the Amnesty Programme of the Federal Government. We are still appealing to the Federal Government to include Isoko ethnic nationality into the programme.”
