Enugu notorious robbery kingpin nabbed

ENUGU—A notorious robbery kingpin, Chinedu Oba Okeke, popularly called Nchoo, who had been terrorising the people of Enugu, has been arrested alongside his gang members, Onyedika Isiuwa and Toochukwu Nwodo, by operatives of Anti-Kidnap Unit of the Enugu State Police Command.

According to Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ebere Amaraizu, “the suspects had allegedly snatched an Acura MDX SUV with number plates EKY 642 DJ at Upper Chime Avenue, Enugu, as well as other valuables, at gunpoint.

“Following intelligence information, the suspects were trailed to their hideout at Ogidi in Anambra State, where they were nabbed after a gun battle that left the suspects with injuries. The stolen items were recovered.

“The command, in a robust partnership with other security agencies, media and other relevant stakeholders in the state as well as commitment and dedication of officers are important to the result being recorded.

“We assured that the command will not rest on its oars until the entire state is safe and secured.”
