The Club Owners Association of Nigeria has restated its support for the League Management Company (LMC) vision of ‘Beyond the Three Points’ aimed at improving the commercial values of the domestic league through increased private sector participation and a more lucrative sponsorship drive.

The ‘BEYOND THE THREE POINTS’‎ vision was part of the resolutions at the third annual general meeting of the League Management company LMC held Last December in Enugu.

In a New Year message by the Association which was jointly signed by the Chairman Barr. Isaac Danladi and the Executive Secretary, Alloy Chukwuemeka, it noted with optimism that there is a bright future for the NPFL and posited that with the success recorded so far, the NPFL could compete favourably with the top five organized leagues of the World.

The club owners stressed that with the surplus of almost 500 million naira (savings ) made last season by the League Management Company, the League and the participating clubs could be self-sustaining in the next five years under a private sector cum community ownership driven management of clubs.

The association expressed hope that the next football season which begins in January 15th 2017 would consolidate on the success of last season and urge the clubs to take advantage of the enabling environment created so far and maximize the usage of the positives to build a stronger management structure to attract commercial gains.
