BENIN—OPERATIVES from the Zone 5 headquarters, Benin, of the Nigeria Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the kidnap of a couple on New Year Day along DSC Roundabout, Effurun, Delta State.

The couple, Blessing Dukuye and his wife, Joy, were returning from New Year church service, when they were abducted.

A statement, yesterday, in Benin by Zone 5 Public Relations Officer, DSP Emeka Iheanacho, said the suspects were arrested at their hideouts along Alaka area and PTI Road in Effurun, Delta State.

DSP Iheanacho gave the names of the suspected kidnappers as Emmanuel Ogbeni, 28, and Osifo Enakhirua, 30.

He said the suspects have made useful statements and would soon be charged to court.
