Dredging giant, Lagos Channel Management (LCM), has donated N5 million to five orphanages as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, to mark  Christmas and new year celebrations.

Managing Director, LCM, Danny Fuchs, who made the presentation in his office in Lagos, enjoined well-placed citizens, corporate and individuals to sow seeds of life to vulnerable Nigerians, especially the orphanages, because the group has no unions to champion their cause.

The orphanages that benefited included Bola Mofo Zion Shelter, Tunji Adebayo Motherless Babies Home, Babs-Salam Home, the Lagos State Government Children Centre and the Lagos State Special Correctional Centre for Girls.

Danny, who lauded government’s efforts towards ensuring a peaceful and harmonious society, also noted that government alone could not shoulder the  responsibility of the society, hence his insistence that all hands must be on deck, to ensure the happiness of the vulnerable class.

He, however, admonished the beneficiary homes, who got a million naira each, to ensure they work according to their good conscience.

In their reaction, the benefiting orphanages thanked LCM for the kind gesture.
