IN order to enlighten the education sector on the benefits of Information and Communication Technology, technology sales company, Madonna Systems, recently held its first educational seminar in Lagos.

According to the organizer, Mr Chidi Oliseowe, the conference was put together to bring ICT heads of different schools to enlighten them about the need for ICT.

Speaking at the event, he said, “ This conference was put together to bring ICT heads of different schools to enlighten them about the need for ICT in schools, what they stand to benefit from working with what we call original equipment manufacturers, the benefits they have and how they can move the educational sector forwardthrough ICT.

So we are looking out to collaborating with the schools to look at the challenges we are facing in the educational sector and how we can move forward. Technology has come to stay and our children are really embracing it.

The schools being where most of our children spend more time, we are trying to see how we can work with the schools to let them know the special offers the original equipment manufacturers have and how they can leverage to move their schools  forward.

For some time now, most schools don’t get genuine product because of the cost, but I am letting them know that they can actually get genuine products because there are discounts on each and every one of them” he said.
