The Senator representing Lagos East in the Senate, Sen Gbenga Ashafa has described the demise of Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi as the exit of an advocate of transparency.

Ashafa in a statement yesterday in Lagos said: ‘’It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi, former Commissioner of Lagos State, former Chairman of Petroleum Products Pricing & Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) and former Minister of National Planning.
‘’He was a great economist and industrialist who worked assiduously for the betterment of the country. He brought his great experience, knowledge and best of his economics to bear in the civil service and other positions held. He was an advocate of transparency and displayed transparency in all his dealings.
‘’Today I join my fellow Lagosians and Nigerians to mourn Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi, the statesman, leading industrialist, true Lagosian, accomplished Nigerian and shining star from Lagos East. My prayers also go out to his family and I pray that Almighty Allah grants comforts their hearts in this time of grief.”
