The Federal Government has appointed Abubakar Tanimu as Registrar and Secretary to PTI Governing Council.

The appointment, which took effect from October 13, is contained in a letter by the Director of Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR/Statutory Chairman of the PTI Governing Council,

Mr. Mordecai Ladan, on behalf of the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu.

The letter said Tanimu’s appointment is for a period of four years. Until his appointment, Tanimu was Deputy Director, Human Resources Department of the institute.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History/Political Science from Ahmadu University, Zaria, Kaduna State,1981; Professional Certificates in Administration, Royal Institute in Public Administration, London, and Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom in 2001, 2003, respectively.
