ABUJA-A civil society organisation, Voice of Less Privileged Organisation, VOLPO, has condoled with All Progressives Congress, APC, woman chieftain, Bar Ego-Queen Ezuma, over the death of her husband, Dr Sunny Ezuma.
This was during a visit led by the National Publicity Secretary, VOLPO, Comrade Gibson Ejimogu, to sympathise with the former National Legal Adviser of the defunct Action Congress, ACN, at the National Assembly Quarters in Abuja.
Ejimogu who led other members of the organisation described the death as a blow to the organisation, because of the vacuum created in the life of his wife who has been the founder and National Chairman of the organisation.
He said: “We in Voice of the Less Privileged Organisation, VOLPO, received the news over the death of Dr Sunny Ezuma, who is the husband of founder and national chairman, VOLPO, Bar Ego-Queen Ezuma, with great shock and we wept.
“The entire VOLPO family is mourning his death (Ezuma) because he contributed immensely to the organisation, and made his lovely wife strong to touch hundreds of widows, indigent children, and neglected people and also in national development.
“We are here to condole with our mummy over this sad demise of her husband on October 27, 2016 in Owerri, Imo State. Our heart is heavy with tears because this house you see has been a house of refuge, joy and great help to many families and individuals, but today it is now a house of mourning.”
Bar Ego-Queen who was former Deputy Director (Legal), Atiku Campaign Organisation, in her response said it was a terrible blow for her husband to die at this time he would have done much based on their discussions to move the organisation forward and some other endeavours.
“I appreciate the visit by VOLPO and I see how caring and concerned you are to me and to identify with me in this moment of my grief and pain. I believe God understands why my husband left us at this time which we expected much from him as a family and for VOLPO.
“I have also encourage myself and my children to be strong and ensure we live together as one big family and do the positive things that he would have done if he were to be alive. I also pray for good health and more vision to continue in my capacity as founder of VOLPO”, she said.
You may recall that Bar. Ego-Queen contested for the Imo State House of Assembly in 2015 APC primaries to represent Ideato North.
