ENUGU—THE Conference of Nigeria Political Parties, CNPP, in conjunction with the Civil Liberties Organisation, CLO, Tuesday, in Enugu, staged a peaceful protest over the alleged insensitivity of South-East Governors in governance, saying they have performed below expectation.
Hundreds of the coalition groups’ members, bearing placards, marched round Enugu metropolis before moving to Government House to register their grievances.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Elder Gabriel Arja, commended the protesters for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner, saying the governor was away on an official assignment.
He received a copy of the address delivered by the group and said he would deliver the message to the governor to circulate to his colleagues in the region, adding that he would give them a feedback.
