William Troost-Ekong is hopeful of moving to England after his time comes to an end at Norwegian club Haugesund.

The fast rising Super Eagles defender stated that he was gathering experience playing in Norway and he will be ready to play in a big league in the nearest future. Toost-Ekong, who joined the Eliteserian club from Belgian club KAA Gent on July 28, 2015 on loan, has already scored twice in 21 league games this term and believes he could one day play in the English Premier League.

The 23-year-old represented Nigeria at the men’s football event of the 2016 Olympics in Brazil and says the competition helped him from a professional perspective.

“The Olympics helped because after that, a lot of doors opened.

“I wanted to invest in myself. I didn’t just want to go to a club and just sit on the bench.

“I am young and I am going to get better than I am now,” Troost-Ekong told Planet Sport.

He added that he harbours thoughts about playing in England’s Premier League.
