Security: Lagos to recruit 5000 Neighbourhood watchers – Ambode

GOVERNOR Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, yesterday, said his administration plans to recruit at least 5,000 Neighbourhood Watchers to boost security in the state. The neighbourhood watchers will be expected to earn at least N25, 000 monthly with other allowances. He also hinted of government’s plans to commence the disbursement of N500 million for Persons Living with Disability.

NIGERIA’s telecommunications industry has moved to the next phase of growth with the firing up of 4G networks by at least two major operators within the same week. Globacom blazed the trail on Tuesday, 4th of October with the launch of 4G LTE services in nine cities at once. By that singular act the company claims to be the operator to launch the largest 4G LTE network in Nigeria, promising that with the service, it will stimulate telecom growth in the country.
