Sapele —The Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Monday Igbuya, has assured his constituency of even spread of developmental projects by the state government.
He spoke during his two days briefing of his constituents at Ugborhen, Oko-Ovu, Elume, Amukpe and Sapele/Okpe towns hall, during which he outlined his achievements in office, listing other infrastructural amenities which the state government intends to bring to the area.
He also called on the people of the area to take their academics or skill acquisition training, very seriously.
According to him, “The state government has already awarded several road contracts, including the Sapele dual carriage way, the Elume Road, among others, which are at various stages of completion and it is government’s intention to complete the Sapele market and stadium as well as other projects which the current government inherited from past government.
“Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has also tried for the people of this constituency by giving secular and political appointments to several sons and daughters of this place, some of who are among us here today.”
On the issue of epileptic power supply, the Speaker said, “The only way government will intervene in power issues is for you to promptly pay your bills. The company has been privatized and government can not force them against their wish if you are not paying your bills. With electricity, we can attract investors and development. Take your academics or skill acquisition training seriously to benefit from his starter packs and other empowerment programmes.”
