Law School exam malpractice, threat to our profession —NBA

A Cross section of Delegates during the Opening ceremony of the 56th Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association yesterday in Port Harcourt.

PORT HARCOURT—Thursday, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, at the ongoing annual conference of the NBA, said that the body will not tolerate such conduct.

He said that though no formal report of the allegation had been lodged with the NBA, the body will take steps to discourage such in the system.

He said that the NBA has a committee to handle such matters, adding that in the last two years there had been no report of such to the body.

Earlier, the Director-General, Nigerian Law School, Professor Olanrewaju Onadeko, told the conference that some  lawyers were caught recently writing exams for students at the Law School, adding that they would be sanctioned accordingly.

Members of the NBA also went on facility tour of Rivers State, with the governor, Mr. Nyesom Wike,  to assess the success of his administration so far.

Alegeh and the incoming president, Mr Abubakar Mahmoud,  SAN,  in their separate comments lauded the governor for his giant strides so far.
