DEPUTY Governorship candidate of the APC, Mr. Philip Shuaibu, weekend accused the PDP candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu of masterminding the violence that rocked his hometown, Jattu, Etsako West Local Government Area last Thursday.

It would be recalled that several vehicles were destroyed while five persons were hospitalized after a clash between APC supporters and that of PDP in Jattu. Ize-Iyamu had accused Shuiabu of masterminding the attack on his convoy when he visited the area for campaigns.

But reacting shortly after he visited some of the victims at the hospital, Shuiabu faulted Ize-Iyamu’s account of the incident, asserting that “Ize Iyamu was in the motorcade as his henchmen attacked persons and APC branded vehicles with a ferocity that almost claimed lives.

“Ize-Iyamu’s security details were all involved in this, and they came to my place just to fool themselves.

“The thugs from neighbouring states attacked APC supporters and campaign vehicles. Emmanuel Abu and Festus Okenemhe Iyogwoya were attacked, beaten and injured by the thugs. Even after perpetrating the mayhem Ize-Iyamu the factional PDP candidate went to town telling lies about the entire matter. But I think the security agencies to should call him to order because he has no monopoly of violence” he declared.
