WARRI—THE Police Area Commander in charge Warri Area Command, Delta State, Mr Muazu Mahammed has commended the traditional ruler of Agbarha Kingdom, Warri, HRM London Ememoh (II) for the peace in Agbarha Kingdom, Warri and for single handedly building the state of the art Edion Hall for the kingdom.
Mauzu represented by SP Ehi made the commendation during the commissioning of the Edion Hall at Otovwodo (Agbassa) community, Warri just as he urged traditional rulers to emulate the gesture of the traditional ruler. He also called on the youths of the area to be law abiding at all times.
Others who commended the Ovie for the gesture include the Warri Urhobo Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Leader and President General of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, Chief Emmanuel Okumagba, the Oghwuwie General of Agbarha Kingdom, Warri, Chief Birinus, Chief Godwin, Chief Osawerien Bazunu, Mr. William Ope, the Odo of Agbarha Kingdom, Warri, Chief Julius Edafiadjebre and Chief Raphael Okene and Mr Austin Okene.
Also, the Itsekiri of Warri through the chief priests of Okere Itsekiri, Stanley Amiwero and Owen Kwashi commended the traditional ruler for gesture, describing the relationship between the Agbarha Kingdom, Warri and the Okere Itsekiri as very cordial.
Other projects rebuilt and commissioned by HRM Ememoh (II), include the Oniovwodo Shrine and, the Shrine of Owurie Deity located inside the legendary forest in the community.
The most senior chief of Agbarha Kingdom, Chief Willy Digbori, in his welcome address on behalf of the traditional ruler, explained that the Edion Hall is where the highest policy making body comprised of only males in the kingdom meet from time and that the hall was dilapidated and became too small, hence having a befitting Edion Hall became a concern to well meaning Agbarha Kingdom, Warri indigenes.
He hailed Orhifi for taking up the challenge of rebuilding the Edion Hall single handedly to a modern standard.
High points of the event were the cutting of tape by HRM Ememoh II, to declare the hall open for usage and payment of homage by the seven Agbarha Kingdom, Warri communities of Otovwodo (Agbassa), Ogunu, Igbudu, Edjeba, Okurode(Ekurede Urhobo), Ukpokiti and Oteghele to the Ovie of Agbrha, Warri, who thanked God for making it possible him to executing the projects.
