Empty stomach breeds beasts

It is often said that if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing. True, but in this age of free speech, people often do not understand that with freedom comes responsibility. So, it is perhaps better to remain silent and be thought a fool than speak and remove all doubt. We all have access to the mountain of information and we can process and dismiss any information that insults our intelligence.

Buhari Making the Best of Civilian JTF

In the early days of what was then viewed as a menace, my elder brother, who was at the time working in Borno, first told me about locals organising themselves into groups to take on Boko Haram in the face of what appeared like the helplessness of the military against the terrorists at that time.

Restructuring is inevitable irrespective of who is against it now

Kennedy’s statement, perhaps his most widely quoted observation, slightly amended, not to frighten people, was made to Latin American diplomats on March 12, 1962. It is a befitting reminder to those who are opposed to the idea of restructuring Nigeria today – including President Buhari and Vice President Osinbajo.

Odubu, popularly known as the Okakuo (Warrior) of the Universe, was understandably unhappy because his boss decided to back the Chairman of Edo State Economic Team and financial guru, Mr Godwin Obaseki, to clinch the APC ticket for the election.
