FOLLOWING the killing of a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr Gideon Aremu last week by unknown gunmen, Governor Abiola Ajimobi, has promised a N5 million gift to anyone who would give useful information that could lead to the arrest of the three gunmen responsible for the gruesome murder.

The University of Lagos, UNILAG, its counterpart, Lagos State University, LASU, and other tertiary institutions across the country churn out graduates annually, but a larger percentage of these graduates will not get jobs not because Nigeria’s economy is bad, rather because they lack ‘soft skills’.

Ado-Ekiti — Residents of Ajilosun area in Ado-Ekiti where a new state secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ekiti State is being constructed have expressed concern over the suitability of the location. The residents, who expressed concern said the location is not suitable for the construction of a party secretariat wondering why government failed to site such a project in a non-residential area or on the outskirts of the city.

Ogun State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has arrested 48 suspected vandals and impounded 41 vehicles from them within the last six months.
