AHEAD of the September 10, governorship election in Edo State, a concerned chieftain of the All Progress Congress, APC in Edo Central senatorial district of the state, Comrade Mathew Emiohe, has advised Governor Adams Oshiomhole to personally lead peace reconciliation with all aggrieved aspirants that lost the governorship primaries instead of sending proxies to meet them.

He gave the advice in Benin yesterday against the backdrop of the thousands who attended the flag off campaign of the PDP governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Emiohe, a staunch supporter of Edo State Deputy Governor Dr. Pius Odubu, noted that the call on the governor to personally lead the reconciliation process became necessary following the discontentment among APC members in the state especially after the party’s primaries.

He added that in spite of the fact that APC controls the government of the day; the party must approach the September 10th governorship election as a united and indivisible family if it must come out victorious.

He regretted that a situation where some proxies of the governor were being sent to meet with some of the aggrieved aspirants does not augur out well in healing the wounds occasioned by the outcome of the APC primaries which he noted was greeted by petitions.
