WARRI—THE Olu of Warri Kingdom, His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli I, has appealed to members of the National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, NAIG to be united for the progress of the Itsekiri nation.

The monarch gave the charge, weekend in Warri during the swearing in ceremony of the new NAIG executive.

Represented by the Director of Administration, Olu of Warri palace, Chief E. Tsola, the Olu while harping on the unity of the Itsekiri nation, said that with the current administration, the association would achieve greater things for the Itsekiri nation.

In his inaugural speech, NAIG president, Collins Edema explained that the association was non-political and meant to create a resourceful and brilliant labour force that will drive the Itsekiri nation forward.

Speaking on the apolitical position of the association, Edema said, “NAIG is strictly a non-political association devoid of any political ideology or affiliation except in advocacy role in matters of the common interest of the entire Itsekiri nation.”
