Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, who was abducted last week in his Ikorodu branch has been rescued in Ikorodu area of Lagos, weekend.

He was said to have been abandoned at the Malware creeks, following the bombardment by the Military.

After the aerial bombardment of the creeks by the Nigerian Air Force, personnel of the Nigerian Army, Navy and some policemen reportedly combed the mangroves, where the Pastor, who was smeared in mud, was reportedly sighted.

Other persons held hostages were reportedly also rescued. But their identities could not be ascertained.

Confirming the rescue, the Operation’s Commander, Colonel Julius Ogbobe, said the pastor was discovered at about 8a.m. and had reunited with his family.
