Ahead of the October governorship elections in Ondo State, Senator Robert Ajayi Boroffice, who represents Ondo North Senatorial District defeated other governorship aspirants from Akoko North at a screening conducted by Akoko Elders Forum.

The elders forum, an affiliate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State, said it conducted the screening as a means of pruning the growing number of aspirants jostling to represent  Akoko North.

The screening was conducted at the residence of a former deputy governor of the state, Alhaj Ali Olanusi

Members of the elders forum, in attendance at the screening included Alhaji Ali Olanusi, Hon Denista Ijabiyi, Olorunfemi Christopher, Chief R A Ajayi, Chief L I E Ropitan, Hon Titi Babalola, Prof Mrs Olusi, Hon RO Ogedengbe and Prof Sola Ehindero. Others are Rasheed Badmus, Evan Ojuolape, Chief RA Garuba, Alhaji Tolorunju, Prince Obaode.
