Minna – The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Development in Niger on Wednesday announced a minor reshuffle in the management body of Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna.
A statement in Minna signed by Ramatu Suleiman, the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, said the reshuffle saw a reduction in the number of the management officials from 11 to eight.
“The Commissioner for Youth Affairs and Sports Development has approved the restructuring of the Niger Tornadoes FC
Management Committee, and the restructuring is with immediate effect.
“The Team Manager, Umaru Garba, and Club Secretary, Lawal Ibrahim, have been replaced with Usman Alfa and Yakubu Gwam respectively.
“Three positions have been scrapped from the management structure, and these are Liaison Officer, Assistant Welfare Officer and Marketing Officer One,’’ it said.
The management positions were occupied by Ezrah Iyah, Tukur Mohammed and Shehu Ibrahim respectively.
The statement named Abdullahi Abdul as a member of the management, while Sani Barabe, a former management member, takes over as Marketing Officer.
The club’s chairman, Adamu Aliyu, the vice-chairman, Musa Matene, and Media Officer, George Daniya, were not affected by the changes.
