POPULAR Afro soul music star, Seyi Sodimu whose hit single, “Love Me Jeje” ruled the Nigerian airwaves in the late 90s is back for good. The talented singer disappeared into thin air, when the ovation was loud but  he’s back again to reclaim his place in the country’s music terrain.

Seyi recently released the remix of his evergreen song, “Love Me Jeje” featuring American RnB singer, K. Michelle. The release of the remix song  which is produced by HKN’s Shizzi relaunched Seyi into the nation’s music scene.

Interestingly, since releasing “Love Me Jeje” remix, a couple of weeks ago, the song has recorded over 90,000 views on YouTube.  According to the Afro soul singer, “Love Me Jeje” remix is part of the  songs that will make up his comeback album which will drop before the end of the year.

Seyi, however, refuted claims that he disappeared from the music scene while the ovation was loud, insisting that he never left the stage. “I  have been doing music behind the scene. I relocated to Nigeria from the United States about eight years ago. I have been recording, in addition to sponsoring some artistes back home. But then, I’m still doing music and I have not left the stage. You can’t leave music until music leaves you. I try to do what I know how to do best.”

Seyi released  his first album, “Born in Afrika” in 1998, which contained the hit songs “Love Me Jeje, and  “Love me Tender”. In 2003, he released a sophomore album, “State of Mind” under Goodlife Entertainment. This album contained another hit entitled “Money Man” and a tribute to Fela titled “Fela the King”.
