The APC has initiated its move to puncture the unity in the PDP through alleged plans to woo the second runner-up in last Monday’s primary, Dr. Solomon Edbiri. The APC candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, Vanguard learnt yesterday, visited Mr. Edebiri in his Benin home on Tuesday, a day after the PDP primary.

Obaseki had in his entourage, Senator Domingo Obende, General Charles Airhavbere, (rtd.) among other senior officials of the APC.

Details of the meeting between Edebiri and the APC delegation were not available as at press time.

Obaseki’s move was being seen yesterday as a script drawn directly from Governor Adams Oshiomhole’s political school. Four years ago after Kenneth Imasuagbon lost out in the PDP primaries which some protested was  manipulated to favour Gen. Airhavbere, Oshiomhole made a visit to Imasuagbon in his Benin residence where he was alleged to have sought to woo him, Imasuagbon, away from the PDP. Remarkably, Airhavbere was in the the delegation that visited Edebiri.
