The Nigeria Olympic Committee, NOC, has expressed deep shock over the death of former Lagos State Sports Commissioner, Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele.
Prince Adeniji-Adele died in an Indian Hospital.
President of NOC, Engr. Habu Gumel who was informed of the sad news described his death as a painful loss to Nigerian sports. “What?”, he exclaimed! “This is a very sad loss to Nigerian sports. He was passionate on sports and demonstrated his love with lofty achievements when he supervised Lagos State sports as Commissioner. And unlike others, he remained in sports even after his stewardship. The Olympic family will miss him”, Gumel said in a long call across the Atlantic. Before his death, Prince Adeniji-Adele was a one-time member of NOC’S Marketing Commission and also a key member of the Project Management team of the Olympic Africa at Amuwo Odofin.
Secretary General of NOC, Hon Tunde Popoola could not hold his shock. And he wept.
