
Daniel Ugochukwu,27,who allegedly beat-up his co-tenant, was on Friday docked before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for messing-up their common bathroom
The accused, a cleric who lives at 8, Olajide St., Meiran, a suburb of Lagos, is being arraigned for causing a breach of the peace and assault.
The prosecutor, Insp Clifford Ogu, told the court that the accused committed the offences at his residence on April 6.
Ogu said that the accused vomited inside the bathroom when he sighted the complainant, Mrs Josephine Nnolo, who was about to have her bath.
“The fight ensued and the accused beat-up the complainant,’’ he said.
The offences, according to the prosecutor, contravene Sections 166(d) and 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Magistrate Taiwo Akanni granted the accused to a bail of N2,000 with one surety in like sum.
She adjourned the case to June 6 for mention.
