Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Co-ordinator of the Niger Delta Amnesty Programme, General Paul Boroh (retd.), has re-echoed the determination of President Buhari’s administration to meet the expectations of Niger Deltans, adding that the people of the region should maintain the peace and avoid attacks on oil facilities for investors to have confidence to do business in the region.
Boroh made the remark through Mr. Regent Youmor who represented him at the event organized by Ijaw Monitoring Group in Lagos in honour of late Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha.
According to the Amnesty boss, “President Buhari has shown that he means well for Niger Delta by extending the amnesty programme beyond former President Jonathan’s era.”
The co-ordinator of Ijaw Monitoring Group, Comrade Joseph Evah, thanked Ijaws in Lagos for the massive turnout for the event despite the down pour.
“I am grateful to you all for coming out to honour our late leader, Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha, the coming out of the masquerades in their colours and performance have given Alamieyeseigha the supreme honour because he worked and died for greatness. This great crowd outside our homeland for Alamco gives me joy.” Evah added.
