Akure – AN 82 year old great grand–father, Adegoke Oriola, has reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Ondo City, Ondo State.

An unconfirmed report said the octogenarian may have taken the action due to alleged frustration.

His dangling body tied to a ceiling fan inside his bedroom was reportedly discovered by one of his daughters, in a house located at 45 Ayeyemi street in the city.

The deceaseds daughter, Taye Adegoke, who was said to have woken up to see the lifeless body of her father dangling in his bedroom, reportedly suspected something was wrong as she did not hear any sound from her father’s room all through the night.

The death of the deceased has continued to generate ripples as his neighbours wondered what could have prompted the old man to take such a terrible decision to end his life.

Police detectives have reportedly visited the scene of the incident and have taken photographs while the deceased family members have been quizzed.

The immediate course of his death had not been unravelled by the team of police detectives deployed to investigate the incident, more so the deceased did not leave any suicide note.

Resident of the city reportedly besieged the house of the deceased immediately the news spread round the city.

Vanguard learnt that the deceased have reportedly spent a fortune over a protracted ailment of one of his daughter which had defiled treatment.

He was said to have preferred to die first since her daughter’s ailment which defiled solution may end up terminating her life.

Police detectives had an hectic time dispersing the crown that throng the scene of the incident.
