When old students of Fountain Heights Secondary School, Aguda, Surulere, Lagos, came calling at their alma mater, basic computer graphics skill, societal and daily etiquette, tying of head gear, motivational talks, spelling bee, scrabble and chess competitions were gifts they brought for the students in a week-long programme that ended with a dinner.
Led by Miss Danso Junaida, a social etiquette coach and graduate of accountancy from the University of Lagos, UNILAG, the alumni association said its objectives “are to positively influence the students in their formative years, bring back lessons from our experiences after school and make them think of creating jobs.”
Principal of the school, Mrs. Adebimpe Delano, said it was good to see products of the school doing well and thinking of giving back, adding that “it is motivational to know that the discipline we instilled in them was not wasted and they appreciate it.”
Other alumni, who brought their professional abilities and skills to the training were Olayide Owoyemi, Olatunji Bodurin, Ayobami Wright and Adesuwa Ediale.
