UMUAHIA—GOVERNOR  Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has urged the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, to stop playing politics and focus on its core mandate of working for the good of the people of Niger Delta.

Ikpeazu said NDDC could only achieve its objective when it places itself above politics and work towards realising its mandate.

Ikpeazu, who spoke yesterday when he received NDDC Acting Managing Director, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari in Umuahia, said a situation where state governments cannot make input to the activities of NDDC board was not in the best interest of the commission and states.
