BENIN—THE Usen Community in Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo State has given kudos to Governor Adams Oshiomhole for the landmark infrastructural development in their community.

Led by the Elawure of Usen, His Royal Highness Oba Oluogbe II, the community said that the construction of the six-lane Siluko Road linking the three local government areas of Oredo, Egor and Ovia South-West has opened up the rural areas so that local farmers can now transport their farm produce with ease to the urban centres.

The Elawure said: “Mr. Governor, on behalf of the people of Usen in Ovia South-West, North-East and Egor LGAs, I want to thank you most sincerely for the wonderful work done on Upper Siluko Road which has established a link between Ovia South-West and North, whose people had found it difficult over the years to transport their farm produce to Benin City. Sir, with the construction of Siluko Road, the cost of transportation of goods and services has been reduced tremendously to the advantage of our people.

“We are highly delighted and honoured as a community to be your guests today, which will forever remain in the history of your administration in Edo State as we are gradually moving towards the end of your purposeful administration.”
