*Says I’ll condemn terror whether it’s in Nigeria or not

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, on Tuesday, condemned today’s terrorist attack on on Brussels International Airport, in Belgium, saying it has become imperative for the global community to unite against the menace of terrorism.

Jonathan, who condemned the attack, in a Tweet via his verified Twitter handle, @GEJonathan said he would always condemn terrorist attack whether it is in Nigeria or not.

He said: “Terror is condemnable wherever it occurs and I condemn it whether it occurs in Nigeria or Belgium. I call for global unity to end this menace.”

Meanwhile, following the attack, the Islamic State Militants claimed responsibility through the extremist group’s Amaq Agency.

Amaq, one of the group’s multiple media outlets, said that Islamic State fighters, opened fire inside the Belgian capital’s Zaventen airport before detonating suicide bomb while one suicide attacker targeted the Maelbeek metro station.

The brief report, published first on Amaq’s English-language website, described Belgium as “a country participating in the international coalition against the Islamic State.”
